Default Rebirth of a P-38 Lightning

After seven year of hanging from my garage ceiling I decided it was time to rehab my Ziroli P-38 it's still a work in progress but here is some video of the second flight.

Very nice flight, curious to know what had happened in it's past life.

I'm waiting to get my ZP 38's short kit soon and i will start collecting all FG parts and landing gears for it soon.

In its past life the plane had Zenoah G-45 I got them because I had heard that they were very reliable engines for me they were anything but reliable. This made the 38 a handful to fly. Only a few flights that I actual got to enjoy. so I decided to replace the engines with some DA-50's, more power and they fit into the cowls better; still breaking them in but the plane is allot more fun to fly and has better performance even though the engines are still not broken in. now it's time to repair the hanger rash and get her repainted and finished up.
