1/2a Push-me Pull-you
Does anyone have comments on using two .049 engines, one .049 for a puller, and one .049 as a pusher on the same airplane? My thought is that once it is in the air, and one engine runs out of fuel, the other will not try to pull it off course. Any thoughts on this push/pull design?

Here's one I built way back in 1980 or '81. Two Golden Bees. It worked great considering it had to haul around the HEAVY radio gear available then. Only problem was cooling the rear engine and the pusher prop wearing the prop drive washer/crankcase. I ended up putting a Cox r/c car heatsink head on it and setting it a little richer.

The only thing I'll add to Dickeybird's post is to say you should pull the prop drive off the pusher engine, check the washer there. If you have the fiber washer replace it with the steel washer that the TeeDee engines have.
This will greatly decrease the wear on the front of the crankcase and prop drive washer.
