Olav,
There was a thread a while back that included the contact info for Navajo plans.
The model is 74 inch span and they are nice.
There was also a construction article that described building a model from these.

Hi Olav,
I have the drawings which I have custom made slightly enlarged up to 2 meters. This drawing is a copy made from magazine " Milestones of modell aviation " (if correct) and the enlargement has been made in us past years. This drawing does not include all the fuselage formers, but can be made by picture. Please let me know if intrested of these drawings.
greetings,
Hannu

Piper Navajo Plans from Jerry Bugni design
Mr. Ken Kehlet from Ken's Model Airplane Plan Service ([email protected]) owns the rights for the Jerry Bugni desings which include the Piper Navajo Chieftain (2 x 40-60 2 stroke engines) also a nice Piper Seneca. I have bought the plans in two occasions from him. The plans are very complete and offer a great platform to build a great plane.

1/7 scale Navajo Chieftain
Here are some pictures of my mostly finished Jerry Bugni plans built Piper Chieftain. I made a nose baggage door along with full sequencing inner gear doors.

Hi RV6guy:
Great job. I plan to build mine this year although I was thinking enlarging slightly (10% - 85 inches wingspan) and use to 60 size engines. What power plants are you going to use?. Could you also tell me what cockpit panel are you using?.
Thanks,
Christian

Hey Christian,
Thanks for the response. The panel and overhead were scratched built by me. I have built the plane to use OS .46 AX engines. The plane has the same specs as the TF 310. I would fly it off of pavement only. I wouldn't want to risk a bad hop and get airborne too soon.
I think it is a great idea to enlarge the plans. They mention .61 on the drawings at its current size. There was a gentleman who posted here at RCU who enlarged the Bugni Seneca. He did a great job and it looks awesome.
Good luck with the build and please post some pictures. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. There is one error on the drawings that comes to mind. It is the rear horizontal spar. It is supposed to be notched the same left and right. It is shown on the drawing as a lap joint. Hope that helps.
Sincerely,
Michael

Another mistake that comes to mind. On the plans the correct dihedral is 5 degrees. In the written instructions it mentions 4 degrees. Five degrees is correct.

Hey Olav,
I know your post on the Chieftain was a while back, but I just joined this site and saw your information. I originally saw the Chieftain model and plans by Jerry Bugni either in Scale R/C Modeler or Model Airplane News back around 1974 and thought someday I would try to build it when my skills got to that point. I saw the full size version at a local airport, took measurements, made photos, went home and commenced to drawing up plans. I built the Chieftain (2 OS 40's) about three years ago and have decided to construct another to suit 2 OS 61's (both are scratch built). I have been doing extensive research on the aircraft because I wanted to put a full, detailed interior in the 2nd model. I have photos and drawings and thought perhaps, some of you here, might have an interest.

Finally I have bought my drawings by a Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftain. 194 cm wing. Up to 2 x 40 2 stroke can put in 60 or convert to EL. you also get short kit of this sign ingested, there are 2 x large drawings and a manual that describes it The drawings are very good, is not for a novice when comes to construction, but the model is easy to build but you must have some experience with construction
