Is anyone building or flying the big OV10, a friend is scratch buiding the bird and the plans it shows some "sponsons" mounted at the back of the fuse, what is their purpose Mike

Hi Mike,

The sponsons each carried two .30 caliber M60 machine guns.

Hi Mike, if you or your friend want to buy a finished 81" OV10 then I just listed mine for sale in the classified section....save a lot of building!....

Actually the sponson bays carried an aresonal of different weapons. They were an extremely configurable and highly effective. There's a ton of working room in them too which made maintenance on the 30 cal's quite easy.
