I am putting a Futaba 350 Gyro on my c160 Transall. It is a twin engine. I know this plane does not really need a gyro as I have flawn it many times. But I would like to get some experience using a Gyro on a plane.
With the gyro on when you bank and turn the plane do you need some rudder at the same time? If you do not use the rudder to turn, would the gyro fight the turn?
If you do need rudder in order for the gyro to allow the turn, can you mix the rudder with the aileron. ie. rudder slave to aileron master.

Yes you do
Coordinated turns will be required with the 350 on...mixing can be done to compensate for gyro. I personally keep Gyro on channel 5 for landings and takeoff (9 CAP Radio) without mixing, but mixing will provide the overide input.
