Default New Lancaster kit

I was honored to have been asked along to witness the first prototype Lancaster kit on her maiden flight today. Here are a few pictures of what should prove to be a very poplular kit, the wings are white foam, whilst the fuz and tail are from blue foam. The initial prototype was fitted with 4 .15's and very nice it sounded too, however when the model is finally kitted (around May this year) it will be available in two formats, one for Glow engines, and one for electrics.

The first flight was kept to just two circuits, but within 20 feet, she was airbrone from a very scale run-up.

Grahamd

That looks familiar??????? Is it the same dimensions as the Chris Gold plans that I built from? I would like to get the inside scoop of the flight characteristics regarding this plane, if it simular to the one that I have been building.

Craig.

She was scratch designed, and has a wingspan of 102", the designer has done several other combat scale fighters, so he is already a competent designer. As a testatent to his skills, the lanc was only to be taxi'd Sunday, but was so keen to fly, she was allowed to.

The kit will be available from the begining of this May, as she will be making her debut at a big show in May, so presure is on.

Although initial specs are for 4 .15's, they will also offer an electric version.

There are no details on their web site yet, but if you want to ask Barry any questions, here is the web site

Its hoped to have another go this weekend, when I wont be caught out by the sudden departure from the ground, and will capture more flying pictures.
