I want a big, scale Beechcraft B55/B58. Like a Byron, but maybe twin gassers....or twin RCV's in it. One of the most graceful civilian planes out there to be quite honest. I totally love the look and sound of the Continentals hauling that thing around!

Well, to me scale twins built by yourself are so much better than the ARF's out there. I am still working on the Ju-52 and hope to have it up this summer. Just have nacelles, fiberglass, and paint to do.

My list of planes to build:
1. Roales Ju-52
2. Cessna Skymaster
3. Hostetler Cessna C310R (great flying plane)
4. Smith Do-335
5. Novack PBY
6. Smith B-17 and -29....someday

I know some of these don't fit the pre 50's mold, but are great aircraft.

Allways dreamt of owning a big twin but couldn't afford one so decided to build one cheaply and came up with a 10ft wingspan Spad powererd by 2 ryobi's total cost of airframe with engines $100.

It was the Arado 234, yep it made the list.

But, really, how could I possibly say no to one of these, the Learjet 35. Love at first sight! - John

Mitsubishi Ki-46 "Dinah"

I've already got a good start on the CAD plans for this one. Will definitely build it someday.

Looks good! I remember quite a few years ago, Hobby Barn sold plans for the F-14, but I decided against attempting that project because I had a Ziroli's B-25 on my building table. What are you planning to use for power and when do you anticipate completing the plane?

David J.

I have The Wren 54's for power, Completion date is unknown because I have several other projects in the way.

I have it in cad and have changed much to ease and speed the assembly which I will publish as soon as the drawings are complete.

you mention the B-25 I have that also unbuilt, but in the cue. Also Nosen Cessna 310, Ziroli c-47, an P-38. just to mention the twins so many planes so little time!

That list is so incomplete, the heading should have been defined as twin war birds. No mention of so many other top models Aero commander,Duel Ace. Commanche and the list could go on. I love twins more than any other style of model . My bigest love is the old DC3 how could that be not on any list. I have 10 multi engines in my collection and I'm yet to get a DC3 Yours Paul T

Dang Paul, hurt my feelings .....This is an Old post. Since this 1st came out you now have ARF P38s, DO-335s, F-82s, Mosquitos, B-25s, A-26s, F7F Tiger cat, Me-110s and some others just to name a few. I should have included some civi's on the list..

On that list, the Tiger Cat wins hands down for me.

About the sexiest airplane for ramp appeal I have seen is the Cheyenne 400 with those 4 blade props that look like they were stolen right off a P3 Orion. Anytime I ever saw one at an airport I always had to do a walk-around! Would make a great model too as it has very generous vertical stab area.

Ram-bro Its about 10 minutes work to go back to two aircraft. Each airframe has its own reciever and power supply so its a matter of removing the tube through the two aircraft and replacing it with two shorter tubes, remove the tail joiner and add two wing ,one to each. The aircrafts are the Seagull A6 Texans ARFs The cost was major but it will draw a crowed at the field when it arrives. Its powered with 2 X OS120 AXs with Hitec HS 645 mg. My mate flys her he's the twin expert and as you can see in one photo its on one engine and still flying.I have two sets of aircraft that I'm in the process of Joining the same way . You would think that this is all bull but if in dought take a another look at the Texan project. The two are the Hanger 9 Jackel and also the 337 Cessna by Seagull The Jackel will be the easy one to do where as the cessna is a major rebuild. One has plenty of time when retired to do some interesting projects. Photo of the two Jackels above
