Well we did our first taxi test of our 1/12th scale B29.We ound that with 4 os 91s pulling , we had about 24 lbs of thrust. At idle on a paved runway, this plane will not stop so we are going to have to come up with a brake system. Has anyone else had this problem and what brakeing system are you using....if any. Also nose gear or mains, where should the brakes go. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

I have a Smith B-17 with saito .91's. I have flown off a paved taxi way several times and had no problems with the plane staying in place when idling. I am using 14x7 three bladed props. I do have 111 flights on the plane and my engines idle very low and reliable. I also do not use a glow driver. I do not have brakes either.

I should clarify. I fear that on landing that I will be constantly rolling off the runway. I think we wil be adding some kind of restriction to the axles. The plane idles down fine but there was nothing there to slow it down, just to turn around.
