.60 to .90 B25
I love the B25 Mitchell and have built and flown the Martuka kit but.... I would love to find a .60 to .90 size kit or plans. Anyone have any ideas?

Don,t know if its as big as you want at 84 inchs with suggested engine sizes 2C 51-60 4C 60-90 but the Hal Parenti designed Wing Engineering Pro Series Appears to be a sleeper. Don,t know anything about it but based upon my recent build and flying experiance with another Parenti design the Wing P-38, I am impressed and would not hesitate about the Pro Series twenty five.

A guy in our club built and flew the Wing Mfg B-25 kit. He used OS .70s on it and said it flew fast. WAS a very nice plane. He flew it for a couple of years before it went in. Dont recall what happened, was several years ago. He liked it a lot.

My little one (Royal, Martuka B25) was clocked at 84mph with twin tower hobby .40s. I've seen the AMA DVD and a few Ziroli 100+ span Mitchells, and I realized that I had to build one this winter. Might check out the Ziroli plans, anyone have any input on that kit?

I have the Wing's kit, it is a beautiful kit, very complete, perfect size, Hal Parenti flew his with Saito's .56 and it flew great with those engines, some guys put OS .70's, but if you build to a finished weight of about 16 lbs. the Saito's should prove more than enough. On the other hand there is the KMP's ARF of equal size, but I would tend to go with the built up kit if you enjoy building and like a trouble free aircraft, my experience with ARF's is always bitter sweet, as they are built to look good and today they also fly very well, but the airframes are always breaking up or something is coming loose and in my particular case I would rather spend a little more time building and amost zero repairing.

One gripe that I have heard about the Wing B-25 has to do with the narrowness of the rear nacelles and that would not let the robart design retracts/struts/wheel combination fully retract without having to redo the whole rear nacelle. One of our local modellers has this B-25 and he is STUCK at this point for the past four years. The model just sits in the back of his workshop because of this problem. I don't know if they have corrected this problem or not, so, be careful when you are building it. Remember, this plane requires a LOT of planking.
Over on RCScalebuilder.com, a rumor was put out two or three weeks ago that Top Flite will be coming out with a B-25 arc designed for .40 size two-stroke engines. Release date was sometime near the end of the year. Now guys-don't ask me any more about this Top Flite model. Because I've just told you all that I know about it. Just keep it in the back of your mind.

Yeah I heard that rumor as well that there would be a TopFLite ARC/ARF B-25 IMAA legal BUt WE also head rumor that there would be a TF P=47 ARF....STILL never have seen the P-47 ARF... C'MON TopFlite... RELEASE THE DARN PLANES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I let the (Tiger)cat out of the bag on another thread.
I sent the finished plan to Neil, I had hoped to have the prototype here in time for the Multi-Madness meet in September. Schedules have a habit of slipping, doesn't look like I'll have it in time.

Get the latest issue of MAN...October 2005, and go to page 11....Hanger 9 has come out with a ARF P-47 Trutleback..suppose to be release the end of August...looks good,but the wheels look too small, but it do have flaps and retracts...Beleive the asking price will be $ 569.95 big ones...not too tacky...anxious too see the P-47 ARF, that Top Flite is coming out with..wonder if it'll have everything on it, that Hanger 9 has, and will be IMAA legal..

Actually I'm looking for my winter project. I love to build so the ARF is a no go. I do thank you for the heads up though.
