Default Marutaka P-61 Black Widow

I've heard that the Ziroli design flies really sweet. The real one did, even on one engine.

The original DID have ailerons in addition to the spoilers; they were little teeny ones out toward the tips and were said to be there to give the pilots "feel" while using the spoilers. The instructions say that they're a bear to model but I just might give it a try.

I'm building this one to fly and not necessarily to be 100% true-to-scale. I'll probably put just enough of the doojiggers on there to bring out some detail (it's got some odd stuff hanging off it). Something that big HAS to have some detail to it or it just won't look right (especially with an all-black scheme). Don't expect every fastener and panel line, though. I'm not that ambitious. I got it to fly, not to display.

Anyone else out there got one of these brutes?

I don't have the Marutaka P-61, but instead am working on the VQ warbirds P-61 (89" ws).
