I posted this in a different forum with no luck.
I`m wanting to build the C-123 from palmer plans.
Has anybody built or seen one fly?

Donnie: Not the model but the real one. Seem I remember the air crews used the ailerons when taxing to keep it from tipping. I would see no problems, just looks like a big project. Good luck! big max 1935

I fell in love with the C-123 when I saw it in the movie Air America. Then got a set of 3-views from the factory and the Squadron-Signal book...found out it's the only aircraft that has flown as a glider, IC prop, Turboprop and pure jet! here was also one that was converted to a seaplane!! All that without a built-in fuel system...The nacelles were the fuel tanks, and could be jetisoned by the pilot if necessary. A truly amazing plane.
