Default Global Hobby is going multi engine ARF in a BIG way!

I just returned from the RCX show. While there I was chatting with my buddy Mike Greenshields and another Global fellow named Phil Server. I was informed by Phil that ALL the aircraft hanging from wires around the show were Global planes. Either currently in inventory for retail sale or soon to be. Some shipping logisitcs were still being hammered out (Co$t) for the larger models.

The four engined C-130 is one of the smaller models at 100". The DH88 is 11 foot wingspan. The DC3 is at least as big and so is the ME-110. The Mosquito is also huge. I did not get the dimensions on these craft however.

Kudos to Global Hobby! [sm=thumbup.gif]

Forgot to mention: they also have a P-61, but I didn't get a picture of it.

No, sorry. I didn't get that info. What I was told though, was that they are looking into various shipping companies to determine what costs are invloved in getting the huge models in the huge boxes to the consumer at a price that the consumer can live with. Apparently it is a real problem due to the oversized shipping boxes.

Hi nchouker, got your pm,will answer it here.

No, It is made by Global/Awesome,(same crowd that makes the DH88 Comet),and would be made in some asian country. No prices available at this moment,(shows how bad I've got this rc addiction, when I order/purchase before I even know what the price is ). The only ones I know of are the Comet, the Black Widow, and the ones Kmot has shown in his post.

Cheers,
Fearless.

If the 88" DH88 is in stock for $350 I would hate to see the price on an 11' job. My budget would be wiped for too long to finish the rest of the stuff. OH WELL

Hi Roary, yep thems the ones. Isn't that Liberator exellent. To hear those four OS 91's roaring,(pun intended ), would be music to one's ears.

Cheers,
Fearless.

Hi Biffett, coincidence is a weird thing. I was talking on the phone to my man at Model Flight here in Ozz,and downloading your post at the same time. They haven't heard diddly squat from the suppliers about my Black Widow [:@]. That doesn't stress me too much,as I'm still building my Comet,(that I'll probably be too scared to fly when it's finished [X(]),(twins do that to me).Don't know about those other girls.

Cheers,
Fearless
