Hey Ty,

Looks like a Messerschmitt Me 109Z Zwilling. And a pretty nice one at that! Where did you come up with the fuselages and how are you going to handle the landing gear? Have you decided on what engines to use? This should be a hoot to watch fly!

Your right. 1/4 Scale Me109Z. I am building this for someone else. It is 2 American Eagle fuses. Tha AE me109 fuse matches up to the Meister Scale wing. Same top airfoil. I am going to install 2 complete sets of gear into the wing. Still working that one out.. I'll post more pic's later..

Ty....you stole my project......I'm calling the cops!

I plan to do this same thing with AE fuses.....you beat me to it. What is the span of your flat center section? You can save me some thinking[sm=kiss.gif]

I figure it to be about 18 to 24 inches?

It is 45" to outboard wing filet to outboard wing filet. It was bigger than you think. I originally figured it and thought it was about 36". But started looking at the gear and found out it was 36"to center of fuse to center of fuse...

I figured it by taking a 3-view and blowing it up to full 1/4 scale

If you look at the pic's above. Those are stock legs for the Meister 109 . If it was the 36" the legs would have to be cut by about 1.5 " each just to make the wheels fit in. This is an easy conversion it just takes alot of time getting the gear in. I am still using the same type spar as the Meister but it has a straight piece in the middle. I did make the center section spar like one big shear web. I used 2 1/8" A/C ply to make the pocket and then cut the ribs to fit over that. it worked really well... I am using 2 Shindin uppers 2CJM uppers and all shindin legs. I had to use the CJM uppers because I need to make custom angles in the up position on the outer legs due to them going into the wing with the dihedral.

Nice project Ty......I forgot you were building that for me....har.

I have the Lanc all painted. I have to mount one more engine and hook up the throttle linkage for all 4 and balance. Then she will be ready to go. I was shooting for 04JUL test flight, but it looks like end of the month as I have 2 fly-ins to attend so that kills 2 weekends in July.

Jeff
