Danny Gable was taking a bunch of photos at the event. I have asked him to send them to me and will either post or burn a CD for you.

Allen...just an observation...
Since that is not a very detailed cockpit, it would be pretty easy to fabricate. The pilot bust is now offered by Hangar 9 (?) at my LHS for 12 bucks.

Hi all,
happy to report that i have my Cessna 310 arriving soon. been following this thread very carefully but would like to ask you a few questions...
i will be cutting off the nose and modifying it to be a "R" model.... ( longer nose) and repainrting it to follow my father's Cessna 310R ( full size aircraft! )
My Question is ,
1.is the model painted in the mould or is it externally painted!!!
2. how much lead is in the nose of the aircraft.
many Thanks!
michael

It's not paint, it's gelcoat. At least the White is. The blue is paint, I think. It shouldn't be a problem if you carefully sand the entire fuse with 220 grit. I was thinking of covering the entire airplane with flite-metal. Just to make it diffrent from everyone else.

Hi Guy's,
just spent 2 hrs reading all these posts. I am in the UK and cannot find anyone who stocks this kit, Ripmax are listed as a supplier but do not stock it.
I did not see any posts from the UK claiming to have one.
Any ideas how i could get one ?
Thanks

Well, today was a fantastic day. A little breeze going right down the runway and a perfect maiden flight. My OS 50 powered 310 with Spektrum radio flew perfectly. Eased it onto the runway, gave it throttle and just a lttle up elevator and it was in the air in about 100', just a couple clicks left and was flying hands off. Balance was perfect and it just handled great. Did some loops, rolls, low high speed passes, very impressive....everyone in the pitts was watching. Tried the flaps but it ballooned so I need to mix some elevator with them. Came in for landing approach, flair, now I applied flaps and it was down.....just perfect. I can not be more happy, Top Flight has provided a great ARF. Made several more flights and went home a happy flier.

Well, I too am happy to report that I had my first flight on my 310 today. Mine is powered by OS 70 Ultimate 4 strokes and they run strong pulling a 13x7 APC at 10K. Unfortunately, on the 3rd flight at 1/2 power ( flys very fast at 1/2 power), one of the engines quit. I had just turned downwind and was about 100 ft up. I went to full throttle and maintained level flight with some aleron and rudder and the plane began to pick up airspeed. When I had sufficient airspeed (control was increased with air across the vertical stab), I cut the powerto 1/2 and turned onto final. Then went to 1/4 throttle and no flaps for an excellent landing. In fact, my best landing today was with the one engine.
It was a great day!
Also, with a rx and lights battery, I did not have to do anything for it to balance correctly. What a great ARF.

I recently swapped out the landing light with a 3 L.E.D. flashlight assembly. What a difference, even in the daylight. I'll post some pics when I get it together at the field but in the mean time you can see how bright it is. I made the hatch hinged to be able to get behind the light to remove the stock one and install the new one and to store the battery.
