RE: bashing a tiger 60 need help with engs
I bashed my tiger 60 into a twin and put OS .46AX engines on it. It came out a bit heavy, about 11 lbs, because I also added flaps, retracts, and pneumatic brakes. I fly from a short field with a 300 foot blacktop runway. Although smaller engines would work, I fly at a higher altitude and we need a bit more power to do the same flying as the sea levelers. I have 118 flights on the tiger twin and have had only one flameout. My fault, forgot to re-fuel one tank. The remaining .46AX had enough power to let me make a go around and make a perfect landing. Good luck on your project, you won't be sorry, my tiger twin is my favorite plane.

I had a Tiger 2 made into a twin and I used two OS .46AXs. It was a little heavy with a wing loading around 32 so it landed slightly fast, but it flew fine.
For a twin Tiger 60, two .46s would make a nice flying, but not exciting plane. Now 2 Tower .75s would really rock! Be sure to bring it to Multis-Over-McDonough in June.
