Default Large Pusher Props

I am working on a Wendall Hostetler Cessna Skymaster and thinking of two DA-50's or a Da-85/Da-50 combo. Where can a person purchase a high quality pusher prop for the 50. Probably a 22x10. Any help would be appreciated.

Twinman:
Thank you, did not know Zinger made them that big. Have never been a Zinger fan of larger props. Was hoping to find some high end props like Menz but will give it a try.

Skymaster is about 90% done. Just need to install engines, radio gear, finish prep, then paint.

Also have a Modaire Aerocommander at the vinyl shop. Hope to have pictures posted in the next few weeks. It will pop your eyes out. Great looking plane. Thanks, Paul

Talked to Mezlik once about reverse pitch three blades for a P-38..they will build them, but the minimum run is around 50 units. Sorry, been there, done that.
Good Luck...and looking forward to those pictures.

Why not get a reverse rotation DA-50 for the back and use "normal" propellors. I know the DA-150 can be converted (at the factory) to reverse rotation, and with a simple reed induction system, it should be just a matter of moving the hall effect sensor to reverse the spark timing......I'm sure that DA could do this for you.....

Hmmmm.................. I guess I am missing something. By simply reversing the rotation of the engine and using normal propellars attached the normal way, you now have a pusher? I have heard of counter rotating engines on twins before. In those cases, the counter rotating engine is still a puller....... What am I missing here? I will certainly e-mail DA once I get this figured out...

All you need is a pusher prop on the rear, normal rotation for the motor you have a pusher set up.

With a counter rotating engine facing rear a regular prop is a pusher.

A pusher prop has reversed pitch of a puller, on a forward facing counter rotating engine it is a puller.

Yup, you got it...! Gives you an unlimited selection of props to choosed from.....
Of course, you have to mount the prop so that the blunt leading edge is still facing the front of the plane

Wow..... They pretty well run the gammat on sizes also. Decided to use the xoar pusher instead of reversing the engine. Simpler and leaves the engine for other applications. Thanks

Actually that is a wise move...I just re-thought my suggestion and if you put a reverse rotation mill on the back, both engines would be turning in the same direction (ie looking at the front of the plane, both would be rotating counter clockwise)!! So not only do you lose the torque countering effect of the push pull configuration, but it would double the torque - it would swing to the left big time on take off!!!!!
