Default Is there a good 3 blade option?

Okay, I am working on a p-38 with 2 os 91fsII motors. I would like to run 3 bladed props but refuse to use a master airscrew prop, way to inefficient. Is there a good 3 bladed prop option, it need to be 12x8 or close, APC does not make one.. Would also like it to be somewhat scale looking... HELP!

Graupner props

Hobby Lobby

I share your distrust of MAS, but have found their 3-blades in that range to work pretty well on my VQ P-38's

I will give those a try.The thing that makes me leary of the graupner is that I don't know if it is any better than the MAS. It is still a nylon prop. Any time you get and 1"+ of flex through throttle transistion, you have got to be leaving something on the table as far as power goes.

Graupners have a completely different feel from the MAS', despite similar basic materiel.

My B-17 buddies run them HARD on their Saito 90's and like them.

As I mentioned, though, I didn't like MAS much because of my experience with their 2-blades, but forced by scarcity of adequate sizes in other brands, I use them on my two VQ-38's, my VQ-61 and my KMP-25, and yes, there is considerable flex on the ground, but their performance in the air is very satisfactory and I haven't had a fracture yet.

I've been using a 3 bladed Graupner prop on an OS 120 4s in my Hellcat with very good results.

What size Graupners?

How many rpm?

Thanks,

Kram:

I'm using their 14x7 with a pumped OS 120 4stroke. Don't know the RPM but it sure pulls like like crazy.
I'm at sea level.
