.15 twin?
I have two NIB MDS .18's looking for a home. Has anyone built a twin this small? Kit or scratch. I do not like ARF's.
My first choice would be a Duellist scaled down. The fuse might need to a little wider at the rear. Scaled down it might only be about 1/4in. thick or less. Retracts could come from the new hobby-lobby biz jet. They are like $23.00 for a tri gear set up.
Next could be a Super Sporster .20 with the .40 twin mod.
Or??????

I've had several Duelists and curretly have a PICA and a COX ARF.
Fuselage room is at a premium and if you scaled it down to .15 size, you would probably need to use micro gear and would that be strong enough?

Roadtrip. The RCM Magazine website, which I believe is still up has plans for at least 6 small twins ,also the model builders magazine plans catalog has two, I think they are being sold by the AMA and the AMA I believe has several Dick Sarpolus Designs. I think it's model airplane News That Has the Twinstar 15 by Mike Sherrod. I have the model builder EEZI- FlI Twin framed, look's like a Hobbico twinstar $12.00 for wood and easy to build. I didn't finish it because when I got the plans for The Twinstar 15 It would have a lighter wing loading. I have the plans for the RCM C-45 and Brittan Norman Islander, the C-45 uses foam wings. All of the plan's that I have are older designs that could use some upgrading They all look fun Mike Goodwin

Those guys have three kits in the 15-20 range. I have heard good things about how they all build and fly.

If you want something different and scratch built, I have a 1/12 scale Grumman XF5F that I designed a few years ago for 2 Norvel .074's, which put out a lot more power than their displacement would suggest. It would be a screamer as is but may work better for you scaled up a little. It is 44.5" and 44 ozs as built. Flew great. One of the engines needs replaceing and Norvel went out of business. So now it hangs on the wall awaiting a possible switch to the E word.

Grab some styrofoam and start cutting. Then some corregated plastic for tail fins. Some packing tape and rattle cans. One weekend and you are ready to tie a streamer on it...
