Took the "monster" Bronco to the WMWA Warbird get together recently, and received this nice shot from Sean Curry which I thought some of you might enjoy seeing. Got 17 flights on it so far and I keep liking it more!

That is a really great looking model! I am sure it flies as good as it looks.

Bob,
A laser cut parts package, as well as an 80" ARF version of the Bronco is available from www.hobbyhangar.com. Check other threads on this forum for user findings and comments; lots of good information.

The OV 10 Bronco was the second model I ever built. (I was 8) I think it was by Monogram Models. Today 44 years later it's my second favorite twin warbird, behind the P-38.

Rich you have done a beautiful job in building your Bronco. Perhaps someday soon I'll contact you.

Reuben,
I've been working on finalizing the plan set with some minor revisions. In the mean time, I've added some "eye candy" to the model in the form of centerline tank, sponson mounted guns, landing light and disco light ECM. When I have the plans finished, I'll post the information here.

I bought a fiberglass and foam version of the 80 inch Uravitch OV-10 from a fiberglass master in Georgia I think about four years ago. It is a very nice light weight epoxy glass layup and the contours are more scale like than the boxy ones from plans. Nice foam cutting and a clear plastic canopy. Also bought the sierra precision retract gear struts. It was designed for two Saito .72's. Should be a great easy to fly twin warbird. Now the hitch............it is all still in the box waiting for my building and flying inspiration to return. I have sold off most of my biggies but this one is special. Plus the guy that kitted it is no longer in business after Katrina!
Maybe someday!

Hey Rich,
Any word on how the plans, fiberglass and canopy are coming along for the Big Bronco?

It's just a wonderful plane would be a shame if it didn't make it to the masses So come on guys we have to encourage Rich to get this puppy out to us [&:]

Now I notice that Sean Curry said when you are interviewing him that it's going to be under production soon? any insight on that?

I've been flying for 20 years all electric giant scale since 2007.... this plane is dieing for two geared 1521/1.5y neu motors (12s each)spinning two 3 blade Mejzlik 22x12 props (3800 watts each). I've run these big geared inrunners in my 30% extra and they give off a cool turbo prop sound that would be insane in this plane!! Two of them would be killer!!

Couple videos to get us all pumped

Thanks so much for any updates you may have for us

I just wish I would get some sort of info from Rich. I've emailed him, pm'ed him, ask here and nothing at all...
I've seen him logged on to this thread but won't say a word. I personally find it rude...

don't understand what the secret would be

it's simple..... maybe someday, never, soon, not sure....anything is better than nothing

but what ever I've tried

Sorry you consider me rude, Ron, but the fact of the matter is that I would prefer to spend whatever "extra" time I have for the hobby designing, developing and building projects that have captured my interest. I rarely participate in forums as it tends to consume time I feel is better spent elsewhere in other pursuits. I am not one obsessed with the current trend of "social networking" as I prefer my friends and acquaintances to be those I can see, shake hands with, and spend quality time.
Generally, I shy away from active involvement in the forums except to get a feel for what fellow modelers are doing. I have become increasingly disinterested in participation because, under the cloak of anonymity, many participants seem to continually bash people, products and companies based on their opinions, rarely on facts or repeated occurences. Equally rare is the offer of any credential or validation of experience level. I've seen "reports" where a product was severely bad-mouthed for having inadequate instructions when the basher's total exposure to R/C had been through a foamy, and one wood ARF; he then blamed the "poor" instructions for his inability to glue two sticks together and install the radio equipment.
There is no "secret" to my silence; I, like most modelers, have many other interests and activities. I do not earn a living from this activity as I prefer it to remain what it is to me, an enjoyable, rewarding hobby.
Want a simple answer? Someday; when I think it's ready.
To all the other participants, my apologies for taking the space.

Rich

That's all I needed to know
I have lots of time I won't buy any other Bronco now that I know there is a chance these plans will come out.

Thanks for getting back to me

Ron101, as SteveD-RCU already mentioned, enlarge the 80" plans a bit (35%) and you have enough information to get started. The canopy and engine cowls can be vacuum molded, but you may have to do a little research and experimenting to accomplish this. The fuse nose and tail cones could be made of balsa and glassed. No need to wait for someone else to do it for you, you can do it.

I'm sure you guys are right...
but I want to go to a kit cutter like precision cut kits, have the canopy and glass parts on hand.

Also Rich said in a post that there were many design changes to the giant version... I'm in no huge rush. I have to finish a half done yellow twin F-18 and a new gaint scale p-47 arf.

If it's not out after that I'll buy a different project and pick this up if it ever comes out, I don't mind building but I don't want to make all the parts. Short kits are enough work on there own.

thanks for the encouragement guys

Sierra Precision has the retract for the 109" already on there site : http://www.sierragiant.com/prod16.html

Think I'll wait for Rich to come out with a plan,I'm in no hurry because I'm always building something. There's probabily quite a few area's that would need some modifications or beefing up.
