Traxxboy, thanks for the pics, they do things in a "big way". And I was thinking my planes were expensive. I'm curious as to the $$$ tag on those models, I'm sure it would take one's breath away. I'd really like to order one like the yellow Shrike. I'd better go figure what the monthly loan payments would be before ordering.:D:D:D

To answer the original question, the largest multi engined rc plane I've ever seen (real time) would be the Byron 29, I remember the maiden voyage.

This is the biggest I've heard of. Question? When does it stop being a model & become a pilotless aircraft? - John.

Mr Boomerang do you know anything about the huge C-5 cargo plane pictured?

No Geardaddy, sorry. Apart from I think it was built in Germany & I could not afford one! If I stumble across the website again I'll post the link. - John.

The biggest wingspan R/C plane I saw fly was the 1/4 scale Centurion flying wing (62 ft span, ~25lb RTF). The full scale plane evolved into Helios, the solar powered plane that flew just under 100,000 ft altitude. The 1/4 scale model used Futaba gear and was powered by a dozen speed 400 motors; it sounded like a flying bee hive!

Check out the Gordon Nicholls B-52. 28 feet span, 300 lbs weight, 8 x Wren turbines. The plane crashed - video is on U-Tube.
