i agree. in my opinion the subjects here are the most interesting in the whole website. vtol is definately the coolest part of aircraft technology. (i am trying to design one) hovercrafts are easy to build and are fun to "fly". i really dont understand why know one takes interest in this forum

I see what you mean and I agree. And yes, VTOL is the best. Here is my approach to it:
A PBF with 6 inch wingtips. Stand it vertical on the tips and take off straight up!
