That is really good. Can you tell us the motor, battery, esc, receiver, servos, and overall flying weight?
Thanks!

I have the flat out turmoil with the great planes VPP setup and can't get any performance out of it. All I managed to do was smoke the thing trying nose down hovers. Your vid looks awesome. Would sure like to know more about how to make this setup I have work.

That is incredible flying, I've never seen a plane do a nose in hover like that. Really cool.

I really think the credit should go to idonaf for his setup and skill that went into the flying in this video.

I've read some of the threads about how other VPP systems have failed and it seems like everyone who hasn't been successful is quick to condemn the equipment they bought and want to toss it aside for what someone successful is using.

I bought the Electrifly V-Pitch and haven't installed it yet because of everyone's negative postings. But I've been looking at as many VPP systems as I can find on the internet and a few of their professional reviews including suggested setups, and the V-Pitch looks to be equal in quality and design to most others and a viable product. Now I have drawn the conclusion that failure might not be the VPP system's fault. I believe, first, that the setup is crutial. Secondly, credit goes to the pilots honed skills to manage the variable pitch system being flown.

The VPP system regardless of the manufacturer is not a plug and play product. There are way too many variables involved to expect to slap it on and go fly it... and not ruin it! My intention is to start low with the pitches, high with the RPMs and use a clamp on amp meter to be sure I'm not over working the motor... and use every bit of information I can find about pitch and throttle curves.

I fly helis too and I know that if the collective pitch curve gets ahead of the throttle curve, the engine will bog and the performance sucks. But when it's right, my heli rocks! The same thing should probably be true of a VPP on a foamy.

I agree with Bruzbro I have the great planes VPP and I have been working with the Tx set up for a wile now and it's looking good every day. Still much to be tune up but I'll do it after a few flight.
