as far as the RC thing goes, Im definatly a total noob (did i even spell noob right?) ...as the subject sugests I just bought a Walkera 22E... just from browsing all the forums, I already hear half of you groaning... Now, just because Im new to RC dosnt mean im totally new to flight... I can kick your ass in any combat flight sim and I have flown an RC heli before... although just a two channel peice of crap from futureshop.... oooo... and i flew a real glider once, for like 45 seconds... am i rambling..? anyway... about me being totally cocky about flying this thing... I understand that alot of people have trouble hovering nose in, and i dont think they should be overcoming that with this heli after looking at a few videos on youtube... this heli can do some crazy stuff that I didnt even know was physically possible... okay, now im sure im rambling...
anyway, the point is... I bought this heli as someone who is new to RC but confident with flight, and I'll let you guys know how bad and how quickly I crash it...

LOL!
Seriously, you might want to check out Radd's School of Rotary Flight before you destroy it:

Well, it came today... everything seems well, for the most part... oddly, the training gear doesn't want to be attached due to the shape of the crappy piece of plastic attaching the landing skids to the body, and one of the main blades wants to be a lot tighter than the other. I've gotta go to work soon, but when I get home in the morning I'll give her another go...
Oh, and it seemed a bit tail heavy so I used a metal coin (came with the collectors edition of Oblivion(xbox360)), secured towards the nose within the canopy. problem solved. now I just need to figure out this UP thing...
and i must admit.... It's a little scarier than I first envisioned... should i be wearing safety goggles?

i know this rc helicopter pilots can fly rc planes, i´ve seen it, but rc planes pilots will for shore crash an heli the firts time they try to hover, and dude, simulator are a little bit deferent from real flight. any way, go easy on your walkera.

lol... i know, I am going easy... i havent had to order a new one yet right? and i'm not trying to say video games are in any way a comparison to flying an RC, but if the game is realistic enough, physics generally works out in the end... One of the reasons I got a heli and not a plane is cause I knew it'd be more of a challenge. In many ways playing a flight sim is more like flying a real aircraft than flying an RC. ...except perhaps that the RC, like the aircraft, is real. --whats the definition of real anyway? No reset button?

well, i'm definatly not pro... lets just say that...
after today i'll have dismantled and reassembled my 22e twice. First to install the CNC head, and now to fix what i believe to be a bent main shaft (ouch). The fact that I have to dismantle the whole thing to get the shaft out is what leads me to believe its a bent shaft. that, and the massive vibrations when i spin up. The only things i've broken in a crash since getting the CNC head is blades. (the main shaft MAY have been due to a crash, but i think it happend when i 'thought' the motors were unplugged and gave it some throttle. My hand still kinda hurts a bit and the flybar is toast. Pain IS the best teacher.
I would however, like to thank long grass for its valiant effort in keeping my heli in one piece. I'd have more than broken blades if it wasnt for long grass!
oh, I broke the landing skid too, but superglue holds it better than stock.
