Wow, what a nice tank area !!! [sm=thumbup.gif] You should make a Tank-Range of it !

Take a summer eastern-front camouflage ... the black cat will recognize the Tiger when she sees the 88 directly in front of her

Greetings

Sure I do....I believe it is a Tyreell.
Ran back in the early 70's when Formula 1 was wide open.
Loved those years ....
Do you remember those Alfa Romeo "Fan Cars" ??????

If my memory is correct ,the 6 wheel Tyrell only competed one season with 3 finishes in the top six and one 3rd place at Monaco.
It did out corner and out brake the other cars but suffered in top speed.
The Fan car was a joint project between Alfa Romeo and Brabam.
It had a 30" dia fan mounted at the rear driven directly off the crankshaft (13000 RPM)
The fan would suck all the air out under the car (talk about ground effects).
The car was banned after two races because of the turbulance created behind the car.

In the years just before "Ground Effects" came into use (1977) the F1 designers tried to increase speeds by streamlining and reducing frontal area. The Trryell P-34 project was that philosophy taken to the extreme. The biggest problem they faced was that the small front tires easily overheated due the high rpms and small surface area. If you look at the other cars of that era you will see the same design philosophy, but not quiet as extreme. Of coarse the limiting factor on all of the cars, which you can plainly see, were the massive rear tires they used.
