hi guys

always liked the look of tanks! ..ive built models of them a few years back along with fighter jets etc (havent we all!?). As you can prob see from my sig im a keen RC monster truck freak! ...however ive been toying with the idea of an RC tank.

But i have no idea where to start or what websites are best (im from UK) ... I want something realistic (not a toy!!) & BIG! has to be big ....any suggestions / info on the radio gear etc much appreciated. Guess my favourite type is the M1 Abrams.. but anything similar id be interested in. Also what prices am i looking at? ..like i say i would like something of a decent size with plenty of power! ...im guessing most are electric, but is it possible to get engine type ones?

I can't say what prices are and where to buy in the UK I'm sure there are some on here from the UK that might be able to point you in the right direction. There is a link section of suppliers in the RC Tank section you could browse through it there maybe some UK dealers listed there

I just took a look through the links and first one I saw was http://www.tankzone.co.uk/cart/tz_rtr.htm could be a place to start

This forum is not dead your just asking in the wrong area, ask your question in the main RC TANKS section, there's lots of guys to help you there.

Exactly, you're posting the in "War Room" which is for real tanks, real wars/battles, tactics etc, basically anything non-RC tank related. Asking it in the wrong area then declaring it "dead" because you didnt get an answer is just silly, theres plenty of people who can point you in the right direction if you had only posted in the RC tanks area. [8D]
