Default Universal Carrier a Commisioned Build

Here are a few pics of a Universal Carrier I was commisioned to scratchbuild for a fellow member of the Ottawa One Sixth Club forum. He will weather, age, and crew the carrier when I ship it out to him in Alberta. This is the 3rd carrier I have scratchbuilt. Seems everytime I attempt to build one for myself someone buys it .... LOL

Wonder how big floppy tracks like that would stay on during a turn. Have you made one of these before and run it?

Maybe if you didn't make them so nice you would get to keep one every now and then

This is not an rc version but a static one. Also the tracks used on the carrier are not carrier tracks these are tiger1 tracks as they are the closest tracks available as no one makes correct carrier tracks, so we make do with what is available and closely resembles the real tracks

Great work!...but I just dont understand the concept of a 1/6 "static"...all you got is a really cool looking, big "door-stop"! What's the point if you can't drive it around?? Your soooo close, just design some running gear and you can actually DRIVE it around.....

My first carrier I built did have running gear for rc, BUT!!!! the people who buy these carriers want them static. The first carrier I hid the motors and gearboxes(HL) under the fuel tanks in the back of the carrier. Before the guy bought it I did run it around the front yard rc. But he wanted it static so I removed the HL electronics but left the motors and gearboxes in it. That way in the futre he could rc it again if he wanted to
