I plan on getting a Wh and I was wondering from those who have one, wich of the three
28%ers are better
edge 540t 28%, extra special 27%, or the extra 300l 27%. Correct me if i'm wrong.
Thanks

the edge and 300spec.are preetymuch the same real stable.the lx is good 2 but the people around here prefer th spec over the lx...
i have a spec. and love it. and i am still learning..
but any of them you will be happy.....

Just my opinion. The Edge is the easiest to 3D. The 300S has a slight amount of pitch coupling in knife edge, but is marginally easier to deliberately stall than the Edge. The 300L has more pitch coupling than the Edge and the 300S, and will deliberately stall better than the 300S. It will also inverted Harrier better than the Edge or the 300S.
All will hold clean lines, and all are easy to fly and land.

silversurfer - What prop are you running? I have tried the Menz 22x8 and currently running the Mej 23x8. Only got three gal of gas through my DA50 and I am very pleased with the performance so far.

I finally settled on the MSC 22-8. It has better down line braking than the Mejzlik 22-8 and 22-10. I also like the low rpm thrust the MSC 22-8 produces. I can't tell you why, but I noted that there was a difference in control authority in tight turning maneuvers with different props. Going to the 22-8 immediately ended what appeared to be a partial snapping condition in tight turns. Better prop airflow caused by the wider inside propeller blade section? I don't know for certain, but it worked great.
Some of the people running the DA 50 have liked the MSC 22-10 better for vertical pull out of a hover.
Consider getting an MSC in both an 8 and 10 inch pitch to see if one is better than the other for your set up. They are relatively low priced compared to a lot of the others. You can get them direct from MSC (www.mscprops.com), www.Troybuiltmodels.com, Desert Aircraft, and others.

Thanks for the info but bad news from my end today. I dorked my 300special in today. I was doing an inverted flat spin and tried to transition into a hover and well mother earth came up pretty quick. It was 100% pilot error and now I am soaking my sorrows wityh a cold one...Tom whats the waiting list like for red/yellow 300 Specials?

Scoub- sorry but I do not recall what RPM I was running at. The DA was still breaking in and The 23x8 did not really cutt off too many RPM's. I do not think the 23x8 mej was worth the extrra bucks though. Stay with a Menz or a MSC if you can find them.

I am using the Slimine Pitt muffler, so, the MSC 22x8 with wide blades should be fine after the break-in on the DA-50.

Interesting!
DA recommend to keep the peak RPM range bewteen 6200-7200. I do not know if they are talking about static or in flight now?[8D] [sm=bananahead.gif]
What muffler are you using?
