Default 28% extra special mods?

Tom and gang,

Are there any mods to the extra special? I bought one of the first shipments and I'm just now getting around to putting it together.

I noticed in another thread in the pictures that the engine box and canopy have changed. Is it possible to order the new single seat canopy? Do I need to strengthen the engine box back into the wing tube? There seems to be many more cutouts in my engine box inside the fuse than in the posts I've seen lately. Are there any other precautions I should take to have a succesful Imac'n plane?

Thanks,
Craig

The motorbox sides on early planes had substantial lightening holes. In a crash (not in normal flying) this tended to be the place they would break. You could epoxy a sheet of 1/8" aircraft ply over the holes to strengthen it. Problem is it will just break somewhere else when it crashes, so you're not really fixing the problem, just moving it.

Other than that I know of no issues with that plane.
