I need to know where you guys are balancing your 28% Specials at. Mine is balanced per the manual and doesnt want to lock into a harrier or an elevator. Thanks in advance.

While my 28% Wildhare Extra Special flew great sequences with the recommended CG, it wouldn't 3D very well. I moved the CG back and it really came into it's own. Just keep working it backwards until you get it where you want it.

I've been flying one since last April and have had a little time for experiments so I'll give some numbers.
All of the measurements are aft of the leading edge at the tips.
Anything from 3" and forward lands heavy. At 3-1/8" landings improve a bit. At 3-3/8" landings are a breeze and the plane is lively, but still safe. At 3-1/2" she will respond well to anything and is close to neutral in inverted flight. Aft of 3-1/2" and she starts to get light and you should be well versed in flying large planes that are neutrally stable. You can go farther aft, but only you know your skill and reaction abilities. 3-3/8" is a pretty safe and responsive location for those with some large plane experience. 3-1/4" is pretty safe for about anybody.
Hope all that helps.
