Default In-line gas filter options

Is there a good in-line gas filter out there? I almost wanted to use a chainsaw type gas filter that sits on the end of a piece of fuel line in a chain saw but after feeling how heavy the clunk that came with my tank I opted to use the stock clunk. Ill be putting the chain saw filter in the gas can i use. Does the DA 50 have a screen at the carb?

I believe it does since it's a Walbro carb, but another small filter in line just before the engine is a good idea. The large size, aluminum Dubro glow filters do ok. I try to avoid any kind of filter that has components that could come loose and enter the carb body.

I considered a filter such as this but was unsure of how the gasket would react to the fuel.

If you go to Rick's (www.ronlund.com) and look for gas fuel filters you'll find ceramic clunks. I am going to give this one a shot...it looks better than the felt ones that can come apart.

ooooooh, that's nice!!

I just use the large Dubro aluminum glow filters. One in the can, one on the filler tube from the can, and one near the carb. Simply a heavy clunk in the tank. I'm too lazy to need to go inside the tank to clean a darn filter.

I use a regular 2-piece barrel glow filter on the vent line to keep debris out, and one on the fuel line..

Right now I have a flitered clunk on my vent line..A regular filter would prolly be better I guess..If you guys order one of those ceramic clunks from Rick's..try some of the molded neoprene fuel line for your clunk line..Its as flexible as glow tubing and comes recommended from Ralph (RCIGN) who knows his stuff...

If you're going to use the filter from Dubro, why not use the one designed for gas?
