I CA'd mine in place.. Not the first plane I did it on.. They will pull out if I want to but they won't fall out.. Kinda like Tom's fuel dot I guess..

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_28..._1/key_/tm.htm One guy said.. 4" away from your reciever.. I would go for 6" or so.. and route the antenna away from any other wires i/e servo leads.. But I am sure you knew that..

Im sure ill get it i just need a few more extentions is all it will be a lot easyer when everything is here so i can balance it as i go. the servos are going to be an issue as far as where to get them. I know cheeper isnt always the big factor when you have a dead one and its 70 degrees and 5mph or less wind

I called Tom and ordered almost everything for my Edge right there on the phone.. I asked him if HS-5645's were good enough and he said yes.. I bought all 5645's for the surfaces and they do fine.. 11lbs of torque is fine for my flying but that is my opinion..

well i was thinking that i would get all 8611's with the radio the flexiquip deal wasnt to bad but i can save a few bucks if i dont pluss they are out of stock thought about the 5945's i can get 4 for $300 in a few places. I havent considered the 5645's not sure if thats what i want. when i was considering the 8611's i was figuring that if i ever get a bigger plane they would be nice but between my car and my shop bigger isnt an opption any more. this bird is big enough

I just use a teeny little wood screw like a servo screw. I get the socket head screws from Microfasteners.

Drill a 1/16" hole and harden it with thin CA.

Guys,
Try the HD switch that Electrodynamics sells. The backing plate is threaded for the supplied screws. I have never had one fail and they are the same price as the MPI or JR HD switches. No more little washers or nuts to mess around with either. I always keep several in stock as someone always needs one.

MPI e-mailed me a few min ago and said they would mail me the parts. I have to say that this hobby is full of great people that go all out to help you out. I have yet to do business with anyone that is out to make my life hard.
