Default Another Edge Maiden

I finally got to fly my Edge today and all I can say is UN-BE-LIEVABLE!!!! Ive flown quite a few planes over my 20 year RC life and hands down this is the best flying machine Ive flown..Take off was less than 50 feet and was like I was flying a trainer! 1 click of up elevator and 1 click of right aileron and it was flying hands off...Winds were between 10-15 mph..Landing was almost boring..as soon as I chopped the throttle it began descending and just a slight touch of up elevator and it touched down like a feather! I didnt do anything crazy just some loops, rolls, some inverted flat spins etc..landed and checked out the insides and flew 3 more times..
I had the DA-50 slightly rich but man that thing pulls like a mule!! More than enough power...

I want to give a big thank you to Silversurfer..From beginning to end he always had time to answer my questions and gave excellent advice..Thanks Pat!

Bad news is my other glow planes are now extinct..[8D]

My setup is
8611's all around
DA50 Slimline Pitts
MSC 22-8
3 2400 Fromeco Relions/Reliaswitches
Futaba 9c
Toms FG
Troy CF Tube

Another one of your babies has flown the coop Tom!!

Joe,

Good students are hard to come by and the best reward a teacher can have is the success of the student. You're more than welcome!

Tom,

Currently I am having some problems using an e-mail system in contacting people. The only way to communicate at the moment is via the PM system here on RCU or via telephone.

If you're still up I'll call.

LOL..SELL THEM!!! Paper weights!! Seriously I have no desire to fly a glow plane anymore..I have a nice Corsair and a scratch built 78" bipe that I will never part with but as for the others...their days are numbered and Ive only had 3 flights on the Edge! Time to save up for another one!!

Good luck with yours

JJ.

You arn't the only one that has dumped the Glow planes. I sold off almost my entire fleet and had enough money to build my second HARE. Unfortunatly I am stuck keeping some glow. I fly Heli's and drive a Monster truck. But I use the same fuel in both of those.
