Smooth first flight
#1
I was able to fly the Edge yesterday for the first time.
I went to the field to do the first run up of the engine and
do all my range checks ect. The wind was gusty... sometimes
down the runway sometimes across. After everything checked out
ok and I got my radio adjusted for idle I decided to taxi up and down
the runway... well I decided to just go for it and she jumped into
the air.
The plane flew great on low rates with only minor trim, and the DA50
had plenty of power. I tried High rates for a minute and the plane
was awsome!
I need a bit more expo on high rates.
Landing will be no problem once I get used to it, but I was able to
land in a cross wind ok, not a greased landing, but it was ok.
In the picture the spinner might look a little big, I used a 4" spinner
a freind lent me untill mine comes in.
Thanks again for all the help.

Thank you Tom and Mark....
I flew again today, about 5 times and how sweet it is!
Starting to get things dialed in, and flew a little with the 3D rates,
that plane sure does tumble nice.
