Default 300 Extra Special ????

I recently purchased a used 300 extra thats in great shape.

I had one question though....the control surfaces are not overly free.....you can only get about 40cpl degrees of throw before they start binding up a little.

In my 40 sized profiles I like to see more then this ( 45 to 50 degree range), Is this going to be enough for good 3D or do I need to rehinge before I drop my eqp in?

i think you will be fine with 40° on the ele and 40 is more than you'll need on the rest if when you fly you feel you need more you can order new stabs and ele s from wild hare

i have my ele at 50° and i never have needed it i have triple rates and on the middle rate i could do all 3d maneuvers my water falls were not too tight but adequate i only switch to the highest rate for hovers and attempted torque rolls but thats manly for the lowered expo rates not so much for the higher throws

one of my friends took the plane and torque rolled for what seemed like an eternity on LOW rates so the plane is more than capable

Planes require very little correction in a hover/TR it has more to do with the fact how soon you catch it if it starts coming out.

I guess Ill just go try it an see how I like it.
