Most people are using Hitec 5945s at $80 apiece. Next up would be JR 8611a, great servo but $105 each.

Gizmo,
I fly right out of Boca Raton, FL. If you want I would be more than happy to help you out on your plane. I use all 5945's except for the Rudder which I use two 5925MG's. Response is great and I have had no problems even through tough 3D flying.

Check with Gene Payson at www.troybuiltmodels.com for a great deal on DS8611's...especially if you buy a few at once.

That servo on Towers website is a TYPO
This is the one you want
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXUZ86&P=0
Same price.
Shop around, you can find better prices on those than what Tower offers them for.

Yes, except the picture is of the 945 non-digital. Oh, and Tower's price is $10 more than ours.

I fly at Goldcoast rc club www.goldcoastrc.com in Boca Raton, FL. Yes buy the servos where you can get them at the better price. Trust me when you are talking about 7+ servos thats a lot of money. Troybuilmodels.com has a lot of great stuff to keep your plane light plus is located here in FL. Checkout his website - will help you a lot. I really wish when I bought the X260 there would have been that great combo deal. Would have saved more $$$. Oh well. At the time I bought the plane from Wildhare, and the rest from Troybuilt models. Dalton aviation built mine (www.daltonaviation.com) because when I got the plane I was still in the Army and had no room in my single shoebox size living quarters. Be happy to help you out though as I did the final touches like servos, rx, ect. I can tell you what I have as far as radio setup at least on the Futaba 9C.
I have a theory about companies like Wildhare and Troybuilt - they make Greatplanes have to work hard and realize what modelers want. I cant imagine flying a GP plane or say my WH with a Heavy FUJI 80 and Nimh. Tower and GP are one in the same by the way.
I could ramble on about the X260 but I wont. Build it light and you will love it. Mine needed no trim to track straight. I still cant get over how slow this thing flys and wont stall or simply fall out of anything I throw at it.
One last thing, what engine do you plan on putting up front? Mine has DA 100 - which is more than plenty
If you setup yours with the ZDZ 80 we will need to get together and compare notes!
