From: Latham, NY,
The manual said to secure the wing tube with a hose clamp but on my 300 LX the wing tube is under the tray the fuel tank sits on. Is securing the wing tube necessary on the 330LX and is there a better way to do it?
Thanks!

IN most cases no it's not necessary but as you know, sh.. happens and things go wrong.
an Easy way to secure it is to make a wood block with a 1.5" radius cut in it and glue it to the wing tube socket in the fuse. Then drill a 3/16" hole in the block and tube (not in the aluminum tube, never drill into that) and tap to 1/4-20. Screw a nylon 1/4-20 screw into the block and when you put the wing tube in tighten the nylon screw against it to secure it.
