I'm looking at the 28%ers for a new plane. I really only care about 3D but I like the looks of the Extra's better than the Edge (plus I already have a 33% Edge T). How much better is the 28% Edge than the 28% Extra LX (or Special for that matter)? I have read quite a bit on thw Wild Hare website and have read some posts, but wanted to ask directly. I saw on the website that for 3D you like the LX better than the Special. So what does the Edge do 3Dwise that the Extra LX doesn't do as well? Just a FYI, I don't really care about IMAC or spin entries...

either will be fine if:
you keep the wet weight below ~18 lbs
shoot for 2:1 thrust to weight ratio with a strong-n-light plant like MVVS, DA or ZDZ
move CG aft to the point it require minimal input to maintain inverted level flight. I found that running this will dampen if not eliminate wing rock. Just don’t go beyond you comfort zone for landing.
I have the extra special, and it harries/elevator rock solid with 8611 in the tail and ZDZ on the nose. Great 3D platform.

The Edge seems to be the better 3d plane. Extra LX has the same airfoil but lower wing position and slightly swept leading edge. Many people do well with the LX in 3d, there is not a great deal of difference.
