Default Wild Hare Transport

I built a 28% wildhare extra special in Janurary. It is one awsome plane. I drive a toyota corolla and could not get it to fit. The wife would give me grief when I removed the seats of the van and carried it, because tha van would smell like pump gas.....Here is my solution...

Cheaper to buy a trailer here in Louisiana (what I did) than go thru the hassle / paperwork / time to get it registered if you build it yourself.

I once took a salvaged frame from a boat trailer and made a trailer for my duck boat - finally I just gave up and bought a trailer to take the tag off of and keep it registered - even tho that's not the trailer it's on.

Its a little easier here in Texas Just goto the courthouse tell them you have a homebuilt trailor..all they need is length and approxmate weight...then you pay $42 a year. I called but I havn't made it to the court house yet.

Why would a duck need a boat?

I would have never guessed that you were Dan Powell!! Yes, of course I'll be there. Sherman is one of my favorite contests. Are you coming to Shreveport in August? It's at the SHARKS club field. BTW, that trailer looks like a lot of work, but then again you ARE and engineer and I'm just a lowly soil chemist!!

Bobby,
I built the trailor so i could haul my Hare to the field. I have only flown it once this year and have zero time for practice. I will probably concentrate on CDing this year and Tune up my hare for next year best of luck in Shreveport

I love My wildhare extra special. I finished it 12-10-04 and only flew it once since I only had a small car. Now that my trailer is finished I was able to fley it the second flight on wednesday and flew flight number 30 on sunday.....AWSOME!

Great Dan. Were the number of flights by Sunday 30 (thirty) or 3.0 (30 misplace decimal point?) - it's hard to tell. But yes, Tom has designed an excellenct airplane with the 300 Special. Of course, the 260 flys even better!!

Actually, I CAN believe 30 flights because when everything works right and I'm "in the groove" I do the same thing!!

Not yes. I have to take more photos at a lower resolution than I took before. I couldn't figure out why they latest photos would not load until I saw how big they were!! I should take some more this weekend and post them either late Sunday or Monday night.

Bobby,
Just click file..open on this explorer window. then click browse...at the botom change the file type from HTML to all files. Find your picturers. This will open them in microsoft photo editor. then just click image..resize. make the picture smaller like 7"x9" and then save as another name. They should be then small enough for you to share on here.

Dan Powell

I just did it to this photo took less than one minute

There's an easier way!

Go here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Download and install the "Image Resizer". Whenever there is a window open allowing you to look at files (like when attaching) you can right-click any jpeg and select "resize images" and make a smaller version.

Very handy.
