We had a celebration at our flying field today to celebrate the 100th flight on my 28% Edge. It took 16 months to get that many flights, but you have to remember that I'm in Canada. It's tough to go flying here! I mean, by the time I get the parka and the mukluks on, get the dogs hooked up to the sled, get the plane and gear out of the igloo and loaded in the dogsled, I'm pretty much worn out!!! Then I have to drive the team all the way to the flying field, and make sure the dogs are happy so they don't try to chase the plane. By the time all is said and done, I usually don't have the energy or warmth for more than a couple of flights. It was tough to get that many flights, but the plane is great, so it makes it all worthwhile.

nice!!! but how do you keep track of how many flight you got??? do you have some kind of logbook or something???
I started counting them too, but I lost track after the 20st flight which was on the 3 time I flew it, I got like 15 10minute flight only in one day!!!! so I guess I'm also on or over the 100 flight on my edge,, but I started flying it 5 month ago!!!

For My 28% extra Special I purchaced a notebook. I recorded weight, RPM, CG, control deflection, and radio data.
I have recorded each flight with date duration and what i did that flight. Any changes to the radio program is updated. I flem the maided on new years Day 2005. Flight number 2 was on July 7th 2005. Flight number 85 was yesterday(8-14-05) My goal is to get 100 flights before our Labor Day IMAC. I will celebrate at 100. So I have gotten 84 flihts in 5 weeks that is an average of 17 a week. This will slow down drastically since my classes start this thursday.

I don't have time to keep up with all of that stuff, I just change the sparkplug in my ZDZ60 every 10 gallons or so,, give a quick preflight before each flight, charge batteries and fly,, I guess it is good info,, but I just don't really see the need if you crash on flight 10 or flight 245 it is still going to be the same size pile

Boy, you guys sure have it made in the states! Sounds like you don't have to do nearly the work I do to fly. Ever try doing a slow roll with caribou mittens on your hands to keep them from freezing? Biggest problem I've had all month was a little extra moisture in the air, so every time I exhaled, my breath would freeze and block my view of the plane! Some day I'll have to try flying in the states and see what it's like to use my bare hands on the sticks!

that's funny,,jajaja I dont keep track of it, the only thing I try to remeber is how much fuel has been run on my engine so If one day I sell it you can tell if it's still good or not,,, but who would want to sell a DA-50???? not me and if I did it would be for another DA but this time bigger!!!!!
So far I got 3 1/2 gallons of 32:1 in 6 month that's my logbook!!!!

Just think with a gas tank half the size you could be celebrating 200 flights by now. Also, what if you land, taxi back, then take off again? Is that one flight or 2? Just trying to think of ways to reach your milestones quickly in spite of the tough Canadian conditions. Congrats!

You are right about landing and take off again!!!! I have a video that it's pretty much just landing and take off,, I ussually flight 10 to 15minutes flights and now I only land one in beatween the flight and keep flying but at first to get used to the plane was all landings and I must have had like 20 landings in 10 minutes!!!! I was showing in that video how slow you can actually land this plane,, but that was back in february now I cant do the same thing because the air it's just to thin!!! but in cold wheather and a bit of wind maybe 10mhp I landed it in 6 to 10ft everytime!!!
