Default Servo Plates

I had the same problem as Futurase, it was in the elevator servo plates, i was screwing the servos into place, i didn't apply much pressure at all and BOOM the servo plate cracked and was pushed inside the fuse. I got some epoxy and put it in and clamped it. Its nice now. I checked my other servo mounting plates and they were all weak. I could put my index finger on them and push them and this cracking sound would occur. I put glue all around them on every one, as these brackets are the most important thing. Just to let you guys know, it maybe a faulty batch, they have defiantly not used enough glue on em.. EVERY ONE REINFORCE..

BTW I will continue to say WildHare is the best Giant Scale, ARF's on the market, and at a nice price. This post in no way was intended to flame the WildHare name. WildHARE rock. Good work Tom, i am almost finished my Edge540t 28% . I cant wait for my next wild bunny...[>:]

Thanks Guys

Default RE: Servo Plates

For informational purposes only, something I do an each and every aircraft I assemble from ANY manufacturer is to cut some 5mm wide ply strips from 1/8" lite ply and back up the existing servo mounting locations. It provides more area for a screw to bite into when you mount the servos and assures that I'll inspect the mounts prior to servo installation. Just something I learned many years ago.
