Default Falkon Replacement Ignitions

Hey Tom:
Can you answer a question on the Falkon ignition for the 3W-106?
Is the 3W magnet polarity correct for the Hall sensor on the Falkon?
I haven't received the ignition yet, or I'd already know the answer.......

Thanks!

I do not know the answer to this. When we spoke on the phone I explained that the ignition comes with its own pickup which can be screwed to an appropriate mounting.

I hope I did not mislead you. The ignition I sent is a generic twin cylinder ignition with its own pickup. I thought I explained that.

If you cannot make it work send it back, I will be happy to refund your money. I don't have a 3w engine to test it with. You'll need to do some adapting of the pickup, or possibly use the 3w pickup with it.

Just do not modify the igtnition if you want to return it.

Hello Tom:
No you didn't mislead me. I'm sure it will work. I may have to swap in a new magnet in the hub and flip the poles around.

The magnet polarity is correct on the 3W for the Falkon. It sparks as the magnetic field leaves the sensor. All I have to do is cobble up a way to mount the generic sensor/bracket on the 3W.

Thanks....
