Default 35% Giles Availability

Hi Tom, sent you a message via email, but I'd bet dollars to donuts it got killed by your spam filter...

Would I be able to pick up one of your fine-looking G202s in red and white at Toledo '06?

I have them in stock now but who knows about Toledo, it's doubtful I will have any then.

The ones I have now are the last of the Giles that are planned.

Matt,

Jump on the Giles if you can. It's a great flying plane that will do EXACTLY what you ask of it EVERY TIME!! I love this plane, darn thing waterfalls in it's own length, among other things!

Are you replacing the Giles with the MX2?

I have not set the price yet, but it will probably be around $525.

Anyone want to know how I'd set one up if I was to do it over again?

The last one came out a little heavy. Flys very well, but it would be even better 3 pounds lighter than the way I did it the first time.

BME 110,

C/F wing tube main wing only,

All JR 8611 servos except rudder, use single 8611A on rudder,

One Matchbox for elevators or mixing method of personal choice,

Ailerons one servo per wing,

Nelson RCL70 linkages, JR Pro Links or carbon fiber rods with Central Hobbies titanium inserts. Alternate, use Tom's method of internal rod inside c/f tubes for ailerons,

SWB 4" arm for rudder with pull/pull,

Single Fromeco 4,400mAh Lithion and Super Reliaswitch for servos,

Single Fromeco 2,200mAh Lithion and Super Reliaswitch for ignition,

Alternate battery type would be Duralite Lipolys for both servos and ignition using (2) Super Reliaswitches, even lighter!!

Rcblimpro tailwheel,

Fiberglass spinner from Bisson Mufflers,

No pilot or panel unless you want to fly IMAC contests. Then paint in the panel and find a superlight pilot.

All up weight should be between 21 and 22 pounds. Potential for less.

The servo choices above will be MORE than enough for the plane if good linkages are used.

Pat's plane flys well and he gave it a thrashing today, just the same as every other time he flys it.... One of these days he's going to bend that wing tube in half, I just hope I am there to see it
If he knocked 3 lbs off of that plane it would be even more fun to watch his shows.

That's why I'm hoping the new C/F tubes Tom has on the way show up soon.
