hey guys are most people here using crossed wire pull pull setups or normal pull pull, the reason i ask is because people are saying the wires rub on the formers or somthing...
i dont know if it does that on mine, but i tryed normal setup and my following cable would slacken off at full deflection so then i tryed crossed wire setup but the wires are rubbing against the slot making it difficult for the servo to center... I got an SWB Offset 3 inch servo arm and im wondering if i should try the normal pull pull again with the new arm or go crossed again? thanks people

The SWB offset arm works best if your rudder clevis attach points are slightly aft or forward of the rudder hinge line. If the clevises attach to the rudder horns directly in line with the hinge line then an offset arm should not be used. The offset arm also works best if the cables are installed in parellel, and not crossed. As far as rubbing is concerned it is absolutely no big deal to file out the slots if needed to eliminate any rubbing. I don't believe I have seen a plane yet where the slots were where they needed to be.

so should i use the swb offset arm parralel to hook up rudder ? because in my previous setup with the strait arm i would get allot of slack in the non pulling line.. Will the offset arm fix this?

I made a post covering the same topic recently. If the attached link won't take you to it, go back 1 page on the forum and look for a topic titled, 300LX Rudder Servo and Cables. The last reply to this was 12/16/05.
