Soooooooo...... do you take trade-in's Tom? I bought a 87" Aeropro Cap at our club auction, but after looking at your new Cap I'm not so sure I'm willing to put the $$$$ into it..... your new Cap is a much more modern design and will certainly come in a lot lighter. So whatta ya say......
In all seriousness I wouldn't even have considered a gasser except the price on the Aeropro was so good I couldn't really not get it. But it nees to be recovered, and alierons re-hinged, and some of the lightning holes the previous owner cut need to be re-sheeted. I don't think he was very interested in aerobatics.
Looks like you've got another winner on your hands.....

Sounds like your really good deal may not have been such a good deal. Sometimes used planesa are a good deal, usually not. I find that even when I buy a ready to fly plane, the guy who built it doesn't do things the way I would have done it & I wind up spending as much as the cost of the plane (or more) converting it over to the way I would have done it. Not that what he did was neccessarily wrong, just not the way I would have done it.
Consequently, I only buy new now. Then too, as you stated, the stuff that was new on the market not all that long ago just doesn't compare to the stuff that is available today.
