Are the wings the same on both planes?

Yep!!, Colors may be different depending on the version.

Nope!

The Extra 300LX has a NACA 0014 airfoil, the 300 Special is an Eppler E168. Special executes snaps and spins cleaner, 300LX stalls at a lower speed.

It was changed a little over a year ago when the elevator servo mounts were changed. The Special was made to be better at IMAC and the LX for 3D.

Thankx Tom...was just wondering...lol...you probally know what I was thinking... after putting in My LX last weekend instead of waiting for the new batch of LX's to come in I was going to pick up a special

I have the Extra Special, I can't see how another plane in this size range would 3d any better, I have enjoyed my special,,,

Once you get to a certain point the differences among planes become more subtle. I think that some pilots can make anything work, others require more from the plane.

I personally require that the plane be hanging from a string to hover it.
