Will It come with a plug to cover the extra servo hole's? I assume 2 5955's on rudder would work as well.

The servo holes are covered over, don't open up the ones you don't use.

Tom,
How is flight test, any news to report on the big girl? Bill decided on a scheme yet? I think I have talked Bryan into getting on the list.

Flight testing is pretty much finished, the changes are being incorporated and production will start in a week or so.

No, Bill has not decided on a scheme, I may have to change that plan a little. But the planes are happening for sure.

So still no word on the SE edition? I would be willing to wait if and when it does come out. Either way im still excited. Now if only my county would ban the rule on no 40% airplanes. Has to be the most pointless law this county has. I think it had to do with the smaller plane guys getting worried about larger planes.

Is May / June a good estimate for release?

WHAT? a County Ban on 40% planes. I got to hear more about this! Perhaps you can Start a new thread to discuss this and post a link here.. In Texas the county has no ordnance powers.

Tom,
Can you give us any more details on testing, has Bill won any 4 minute free styles, do you have any new info? Sorry some of us are chewing at the bit. Do you have any internal fuse photos?

At the recent IMAC in Tuscon did Billy fly the 300 or a different airplane?

No, he had a battery problem with the Extra 300 during testing and destroyed it. Too bad, too, he said his confidence in it was growing quickly and he had planned to use it this season. I'm trying to get him a replacement asap.

Lets make a deal, have them both sent Forward Air to Miami and well link up in J ville...lol. Sounds like a plan to me. On a daily basis my job has me all over the sunshine state. Gotta love being a construction superintendent. Since I have been home from the Army I cant believe how much they have built up South FL.

So what do you say? If you ever get a chance to go to Forward Air Miami its quite the experience.

There are 2 schemes plus an ARC version. The flame scheme is part of the professional package which include pilot, panels, 2 sets of h-stabs (3d and pattern).

Sweet! What plane is that with the flames? Looks like a 260 or is it the 40% with a different canopy? Very cool.

Thats what I thought. Should look cool if not a little crazy on the bigger plane. I really dig the lines on the new big extra. Looks like Tom also brought the rudder out further back. Should make for a really responsive tail section.

There are 5 of them on the way. They will be the standard ARFs, not the flame scheme. They should be here in about 3 weeks. The remaining batch will be in a container that should ship in a couple weeks.

I did this to satisfy a few guys who just couldn't wait. The pre-shipment will also have a few of the new 84" Extra 300s.
