Has anyone put smoke on the Original 28% Extra 300? I just finished the installing it on one that I've had sitting in the shop and it's never been flown. I've balanced it and am preparing to maiden it, (I just got the grass cut at the flying field yesterday...horray!). I would imagine, with the extra weight, that it's not going to be a 3D monster due to the increased weight/wing loading but will it still hover and pull out of one okay? I have a new DA50 with only 1 tank through it so I'm still in break in phase and I realize it won't be up to snuff, strength wise, for a few gallons. It's after that that I'll consider hovering. I plan to use the plane for an IMAC practice plane and a little fun added in. I used a sullivan skywriter and a li-ion 2000mah battery for the smoke system.
Any thoughts on this?

It actually does alright with the extra weight. When I did mine I simply placed a 16oz. tank next to the gas tank. I laid both tanks in on their sides to have the needed room. That position maintained the basic C/G without moving when the smoke tank was full or empty.
Mine used a Brison 3.2 and weighed in dry at 18.5 pounds with the smoke system. It hovered and pulled out just fine with a full tank of smoke. Go have fun, enjoy, and no worries.

That's exciting/relieving news, especially considering the respondants! Silver, that's the exact configuration I used. Thanks guys! I'll maiden her this weekend, weather permiting and post the results. After hearing this, I'm sure she'll do fine.
