I just ordered a 88" Edge from Tom today. I wasn't going to but he had it in stock, and he had a carbon fiber wing tube in stock, he had the batteries I need in stock and the servos were in stock and.........

Anyways, just couldn't resist. I gave my V2 Edge away to a friend a few months ago and I miss it. Hopefully this plane will fill the void. I'm looking forward to getting this plane. From what I hear it's a very fast build...so I might get it in the air in a few weeks. I'm ready to put it on the bench as soon as it gets here.

Tom thought he might be able to ship it today. So maybe my Monday or Tuesday of next week I'll have it.

I'm planning on using an extra BME 58 I have on this plane. That ought to fly it good, even at my high elevation. I've got a good assortment of 7955 I'm gonna use in the tail and I'm not sure what on the ailerons. I'm gonna go with my new favorite battery, the A123. I have those in my EF Yak and really like them. Very fast and easy to charge and work with once you commit to them.

Looks like sub 17 lbs is possible. I V2 weighed 16lbs 10ozs and that was with a cannister. This shouldn't be much, if any, heavier from what I can read.

Should be a lot of fun....I'm looking forward to it.

thanks
Barry

Barry are you going to be using a canister on this one? I am in the process of converting mine to one. It is a cleaner and easier install. I went with 7955's all the way around with a A123 pack. I have never flown the V2 edge but I sure love this one.

Just got an email from Tom. My plane shipped yesterday. UPS says it will be here on Friday! Yeah UPS!
Can't wait to get started.

cmircman...No I'm not going to use a cannister set up. I'm going to use a Pitts style muffler on the BME. I'd rather use a cannister but the BME doesn't lend itself to the header pipes currently available.

Thanks
Barry

Barry I was unaware of the BME not matching up to any header pipes as i have no experience with them. IF you have everything for this plane already you could easily have it ready for sunday. The only thing That I thought was time consuming was cutting down the pitts muffler to get it to fit in the cowl ring. Either way you are going to love this plane!

Karl Mueller out of Canada will make a header any way you want for about $50-60 shipped. You can also buy the parts from Aircraft Inernational to make them.

I recently bought the WH Edge 88" from Tom. I have only flown it 3 times so far (too busy and bad weather), but can't wait to get out there with her again!!! What a nice flying plane!!!
