44 green plug setting?
Ron
I keep burning out plugs on my green 44. I changed to a Lipo battery from the one originally supplied with the motor. I went into the ECU as you instructed and changed the setting for the higher voltage. I had the glow power set at 30. Is this setting too high?
Thanks.
Hal

RE: 44 green plug setting?
Hal,
If you're burning plugs, the voltage is still to high..
Reduce the value to 10 and attach a plug to the harness , increase till you see an orange glow from the element.

I am still having problems burning out plugs on my 44. I did as you said I went back to 5 and raised the number one step at a time. At 7 the plut did not glow. At 8 it looked like it went to full glow power. I left it there and took the plane to the field. I started it once. The next time I tried to start it I got a blown plug message. It doesn't seem to incrementally get hotter. It just goes from off to on and then burns out.
Any suggestions?

RE: 44 green plug setting?
Hal,
First thing to do is go back to the original battery configuration and see if the glow driver works properly. If it does, then the ECU glow driver is not allowing for the additional amps of the newer battery.
The ECU has a "regulator" ...which at this point...seems to be failing.
Feel free to call me @ 260-701-8936
