Hi all,
I have a new model ys 115s with the reg on the side of the carb, non adjustable reg as i see it??
I have had trouble from day one with the engine running for a minute or so then dying.
Settings are 2 open on low 1.5 to 2 open on high, 20/20 fresh fuel, apc 16/6.
What seems to happen is the engine runs pretty well then makes a backfire sound and dies, starts real easy, idles well, good transition but after a while on mid to higher rev range it dies.
I have a very leek free tank, holds good preasure, check valve works 100% good, filters on fuel can and in line.
good OSF plug.
It has done this on 1.5 open on high to 2.5 open on high.
Any ideas or help most welcome.

Does it seem like it dies from too rich or too lean?

hi, too rich it think, maybe too rich top end and bottom. it's hard to say, it does shake a lot at low reves, idle.

Then I'd guess there is some garbage in the regulator.

I have given the reg and carb a through strip down and clean out, reset the H and L at factory settings and will give a run up in the next couple of days. Will post results.
